The assets of the BRASS Scheme are held in trust for the benefit of members. The Scheme itself is managed and administered by the Trustees. There are three Trustees of the Scheme, two appointed by Biwater Holdings Limited and one nominated by the members.
The Trustees’ duty is to run the Scheme in line with its Trust Deed and Rules and relevant pensions law. To do this, the Trustees have the help of a number of pension professionals; you can see a list of Scheme advisers at the bottom of the page. You can instantly check the progress of your pension savings, all day every day, with MyPension.
Because the operation of a scheme such as BRASS is complex, the Trustees delegate the responsibilities of certain tasks to specialists in various fields.
The Trustees’ current advisers are:
Scheme actuary Emma Whitehouse, XPS Pensions Group
Scheme auditors Mazars LLP
Legal adviser CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP
Investment adviser XPS Pensions Group
